Your Studio Field account
Last updated 12 September 2026
This page is for Studio Field, published by Lithium ehf. It covers the optional community account used in the apps on Android, Windows, iPhone, iPad, and Mac (Tape Club, Forum, and Messages): how to delete specific data while keeping the account, and how to close the account entirely.
Delete specific data (keep your account)
You can remove individual community items without closing the account. Your @username and sign-in stay active.
- Open the Studio Field app on Android, Windows, iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Sign in to community features (Sign in with Google on Android and Windows, or Sign in with Apple on iPhone, iPad, and Mac).
- Tape Club: open your upload and delete that tape and its listing.
- Forum: open a thread or reply you wrote and choose delete.
- Messages: open a conversation and delete a message you sent, where the app offers that action.
- My profile: remove your profile photo if you want that picture deleted without closing the account.
Request data deletion without the app
If you cannot use the app, send a request with the contact form on studiofield.app. Write that you want Studio Field data deleted but want to keep the account, and list what should be removed (for example Tape Club uploads, Forum posts, Messages, or your profile photo). Include the @username and the email on the Google or Apple account you used to sign in.
Delete your account
If you can still open Studio Field and sign in, delete the account from My profile. That removes your community account and associated community data. This cannot be undone.
- Open the Studio Field app on Android, Windows, iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Sign in to community features (Sign in with Google on Android and Windows, or Sign in with Apple on iPhone, iPad, and Mac).
- Open My profile.
- Choose Delete account (wording may read “Delete my Studio Field account”).
- Confirm with Google or Apple when asked.
Request account deletion without the app
If you cannot use the app, send a deletion request with the contact form on studiofield.app. Write that you want your Studio Field community account deleted, and include the @username and the email on the Google or Apple account you used to sign in.
Data we delete
Specific-data requests remove only the community items you asked for. We do not close the account or release your @username unless you also request account deletion.
When the community account is deleted we remove: your Tape Club uploads and comments (including hosted audio, artwork, and listings); Forum threads and replies you wrote; Messages conversations you participate in; your @username; your profile photo; your personal message block list; and the Firebase Authentication user for Studio Field.
Data we keep
Local Library, backups, Workspace, and device files stay on your phone, tablet, or computer (or in your own iCloud, if you enabled sync) until you delete them yourself. Copies of your Tape Club tapes that other people already saved into their own Library stay under their control. Teenage Engineering hardware content on an OP-1 or other device is not deleted.
If you only delete specific data, your community account, @username, and Sign in with Google or Apple stay in place.
We may keep limited moderation or security records (for example an open report about content) for a reasonable period where needed to protect the service or comply with law. Residual copies can remain briefly in backups or caches until they expire, typically within 30 days.
Contact-form emails are a separate support record. Ask us to delete a contact message if you want that removed too.
How long deletion takes
In-app deletion of a specific item, or of the whole account after Google or Apple confirms it, is immediate. A request sent through the website is handled as soon as we can verify the account, usually within a few days. After that, backup copies age out as described above.
